Service Station FLX will be a bike-friendly, craft coffee, neighborhood café that serves as a starting point and destination for cyclists of Keuka Lake. It will be a neighborhood gathering spot that sells coffee, sandwiches, and sundry other goods such as bike spare tubes, and grab-n-go snacks. In the future we would like to serve local wines and beer as well as locally made crafts. There are indoor and covered outdoor seating areas, bike parking, and a Type 2+ EV charging station. There will be room for a food truck or pop-up farmer’s vegetable and flowers stand.
Operation hours will be neighborhood and cycling friendly, not a late-night destination.
The plan is to renovate the existing structure and add an approximately 600 ft2 building that will have a coffee roasting room in the front and a pottery studio at the back. The renovation will upgrade the site to be handicap accessible. The two buildings will be interconnected by a covered outdoor seating area.
It will be a welcoming entrance and a launching point for people visiting the Village of Hammondsport with off-street, outdoor seating and ample parking.
